I can say from personal experience that this is not something that is broken or even something that puts you at a disadvantage. The controls are designed so that you can avoid these attacks and take advantage of the opening they create to start a chain of your own. Additionally, there are no issues with moves not activating as I saw in another review. In the 3+ years I had this game I never experienced any issues with the controls at all. It is very stable and will run smoothly and without bugs even on my 5S. It does require a ton of grinding to complete the game, but although I did spend $7 on microtransactions in appreciation of Nekki and the game, it is certainly possible to complete without spending any money. That being said, SF3 isn't too far off now and I don't think it is feasible to complete the game before it comes out.
